I’m addicted to the super sweet Starbucks Iced Chai and thought this one wouldn’t stack up but it’s better!! I bought green cardamom pods at an Asian store and ground them in a coffee bean grinder. I’m going to try it with tea and also with the added turmeric for the anti-inflammatory benefits. I added about 1 teaspoon maca powder to the blender and 1/4 teaspoon sunflower lecithin. I added less pepper and it was perfect! I just made this and it’s so good! The spice combo is perfect. Canât wait for breakfast tomorrow morning! Check out this tutorial! There’s something magical about the creaminess of the milk balanced with the subtle sweetness and spice. I use homemade nut milks like hemp and I find the lecithin helps emulsify the fats to make the latte extra creamy. Nothing was really working as a replacement chai until this recipe… the recipe is better than most chais I have had (and I am very picky and have had a LOT of varieties from cafes, grocery stores, and recipes!). I’m disappointed as I love chai latte! I’m just now getting off all caffeine. Would it work to mix it with almond milk ahead of time and keep in warm until it’s time to serve it? Hope that helps!
